Add filter to ignore Images/Icons/... from .Resx file
I have a Resources.resx file where not only Strings were added but also Images and Icons.
(first button upper left when you open a .resx file in Visual Studio 2015).
In the Multilingual Editor you should have the same option that you only see the Strings and not the Images, Icons, ...)
This is under consideration. My initial thought is to add a show non-string resources with a default of unchecked.
Is this functionality added yet?
YES, YES, YES.
Please tell me why images need to be translated. Is it because some may contain text? Text should be overlayed anyway.
And why do components like Tool Tips (toolTip1.TrayLocation" translate="yes"), dialogs, menus, serial port, etc, need to be translated and show up in the xlf file?
There should be a setting to ignore them, too. (This was probably part of iamthemerovingian's comment.)
YES!!!!! Please do this!!
I have an issue where my resx file contains layout settings for a table layout panel for winforms.
I cannot compile because I keep getting exceptions like "Convert file .resx to XLIFF format failed."
Can you ignore any non string items in the resx file?
our translators don't need to see icons, neither are they allowed to receive our images that we have bought the rights on. (+ xaml designed icons of which some are in resources).
