Please update MAT to eliminate error messages due to Microsoft DataMarket being retired

Since 2017/04/30, "Generate machine translations" displays an error message:

TranslateApiException: Invalid authentication token. Microsoft DataMarket is retired. Please subscribe to Microsoft Translator, in the Cognitive Services section at https://portal.azure.com. Please visit https://cognitive.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1128340-announcements-action-required-before-april-30-20 to find detailed instructions. : ID=0824.V2_Soap.GetTranslations.4EEAF6E3

Please provide a way to at least eliminate the message, or even better, to restore the capability as hinted in the message.

        Cameron,

I upgraded the VS 2015 version to 4.0.1610.0 and now the VS 2017 version (4.0.6810.0) works.

        Thanks for the fast answer

        Peter,

Can you double check that the MAT upgrade on VS 2017 to 4.0.6810.0 was successful? (It is be displayed in the About box)

I ask because the message that is displayed indicates that the Microsoft Translation provider was not updated.

Also, if you have MAT for VS 2015 / VS 2013 installed, please upgrade that version as well to 4.0.1610.0.

Prior to MAT for VS 2017, the providers were placed in the GAC. Since the assembly version is different, it should be fine, but if it loading the GAC version and it was not upgraded, that could also explain it.

I did a local test and MAT with VS 2017 was working as expected so the access to the service appears to be working as expected.

Please let me know if this solves the issue or I need to dig deeper.

        Thanks,
        Cameron

Cameron, even after following the steps of http://aka.ms/matmtconfig, the version 4.0.6810.0 does not work for VS 2017. I am able to translate using the code provided at https://github.com/MicrosoftTranslator/CSharp -WPF-Example, but MAT continues to return the error message:

TranslateApiException: Invalid authentication token. Microsoft DataMarket is retired. Please subscribe to Microsoft Translator, in the Cognitive Services section at https://portal.azure.com. The required update for MAT for VS 2015 / VS 2013 have been posted. This is build 4.0.1810.0 and allows you to configure the Microsoft Translator provider to use your Azure service.

MAT for VS 2017 update is pending final review and will use the same configuration as VS 2015. This will be version 4.0.6810.0.

Please follow the steps in this article to setup the provider's configuration: https://multilingualapptoolkit.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1167898

        Thank you,
        Cameron

Good to hear Cameron. Thank you.

Or if Microsoft has ended this service and requires an Azure account, provide a way to set that in a configuration somewhere. My team adopted this tool as our way for getting beta-translations done and now it doesn't work. Arg!
